Markets, Festivals & Restaurants

Tuscany for 2 holiday accommodation for two in Lunigiana

Markets - Each town and city in Lunigiana holds a weekly market, a staple part of Italian life. To be recommended are the markets at Aulla, La Spezia and Sarzana, and for the more adventurous, the market at Forte dei Marmi is reputedly the best.
Sarzana also holds a city-wide outdoor antique market in August offering furniture, artefacts, jewellery in a cornucopia of choice.

Festivals - Each town and village promotes an annual outdoor summer festival. Rivalry is intense as each community tries to outdo the other in terms of quality, value and fringe activities. Festas feature music, medieval costume, pageant, and in the case of Tavernelle’s Festa della Trota’ a medieval street market featuring local crafts, produce and arts.

Restaurants - Tuscany is renowned for the quality of its’ cucina. Lunigiana is a hidden gem offering wonderful traditional food and wine at unbelievable prices.

Shopping - Designer outlets in Aulla, Sarzana and Pisa, and most famously at Florence
